    Trace Crystal gives physical objects their own unique optical fingerprints. Tiny liquid-crystal microspheres form patterns that are naturally random and virtually impossible to recreate, creating a secure link between the physical product and its digital identity. The result is a new way to protect authenticity, provenance, and trust.

    Clio van Aerde

    Individual performance

    Ten years after its first version, Clio Van Aerde revisits her performance Syndrome de la Décélération in the 1535° Hangar, in connection with the BRAISE installation created by explose. The artist moves in reverse, walking backwards through the Hangar, with no set route or schedule. With her back to the path she travels, she lets herself be guided by the architecture of the space and by the thirty LED tubes unfolding around her, whose light shifts in colour and intensity. Running against a society of acceleration and performance, this slow, repetitive and deliberately absurd gesture rejects any idea of productivity or achievement. It invites the audience to contemplate, and to perceive time, space and the body in motion differently.

    pocket tech workshop: build your own electronics

    Hands-on workshops where you can learn about digital fabrication, electronics, and programming by designing a functional object. Each participant will be able to put together their own creation using electronic components and 3D-printed parts and then take it home.
