À propos de Les Films Fauves

Founded in 2014 by producer Gilles Chanial and directors Jean-Louis Schuller and Govinda Van Maele LES FILMS FAUVES is a Luxembourg-based independent production company focusing on development and production of fiction and documentary films for international theatrical distribution.

Our interests lie in director-driven art-house and genre flms of both short and feature length, either by Luxembourgish directors or in co-production with European partners.

MAMMAL by Rebecca Daly, our first coproduction with Fastnet Films (IRL), Calach Films (LUX) and Rinkel Films (NL), has been selected at Sundance (World Dramatic competition), Rotterdam and Göteborg 2016 and was nominated for the best European film at the EFA. Our documentary FOREIGN AFFAIRS by Pasha Rafiy premiered at Visions du Réel in Nyon (Regard Neuf section) in April 2016, while we were coproducing FAUVES by Robin Erard, with Box Productions (CH) and Novak Prod (BE).

GUTLAND, our first majority feature in luxembourgish language, directed by Govinda Van Maele and coproduced with Novak Prod (BE) and Bauer & Blum (DE), shot last autumn with promising actor Frederick Lau, is now in postproduction.

Willing to achieve its goal to support the emergence of new talents, Les Films Fauves is now following 3 luxembourgish directors in the development of their first or second features : Max Jacoby (Dust – 2010), Jacques Molitor (Mammejong – 2015) and Filip Markiewicz.
